For those who believe that seduction lies in cleanliness and perfection, there is a perfume that renews its wearer with every spritz. An overdose of extremely refined bitter orange essence (or "bigarade", as they say in Provence), accented by cardamom and pink pepper on a woody base of hay and cedarwood, heralds a new generation of "eaux". A sea of noble freshness. Bigarade Concentrée is also available in a less concentrated form as Cologne Bigarade.

Jean-Claude Ellena

As a student and close friend of the legendary Edmond Roudnitska (creator of Le Parfum de Thérèse), Jean-Claude Ellena has developed a unique minimalist approach to perfumery over the years. This distinctive style, constantly influenced by his elegant and serene manner, has been compared to watercolor sketches and chamber music. Ellena says that a perfume must be like 'a gentle caress'; nothing should shock, nothing should scream. Edmond Roudnitska's minimalism has never left him, however, and his compositions continue to focus on few ingredients to avoid repetition.

Jean-Claude Ellena was born in Grasse into a family of perfumers. His training began at the age of 17 in the most prestigious laboratories - in Grasse, Paris, New York and Geneva - where he always considered himself to be self-taught. He met Frédéric Malle at Givaudan Roure when he was working on Bulgari's Eau au Thé Vert. He composed one perfume a year for Editions de Parfums before moving to Hermès.
