In 1752, King Frederik V of Denmark commissioned the Flora Danica, which was to contain all the flowers and plants of the kingdom in order to give the people a better understanding of the country's nature. It took more than 120 years to complete the work. In the end, over 3200 color drawings were created, which were printed in 54 books. The Flora Danica is still considered a remarkable undertaking in the world of art and botanical research. It is the source of inspiration for our perfume brand.
