The multi-award-winning Pestle & Mortar label is based in Kildare, southwest of Dublin. However, its roots lie in India. In the family of co-founder Sonia Deasy, the profession of medicine man has a long tradition. The mortar and pestle - which gave the Irish line its name - are still used today, in the 6th generation, to produce herbal medicines.
